Established in 1989, Mountain High is an independent retailer, owned and managed by a team of highly trained staff equipped to meet the needs and expectations of today’s informed and educated cyclists. We are a real bike shop, passionate about biking and stockists of the finest bikes and equipment available. We have hand picked some of the World’s most exclusive bikes for you from Marin, Trek, Rocky Mountain, Whyte, Cotic, Bionicon and Gary Fisher.

All our staff love to get out cycling on and off road – and with this experience we carefully pick all of our bicycle products to suit the needs today‘s riders. Whatever age or stage you are at in cycling, Mountain High will find that perfect bike or accessory that suits you, your style of riding, and your budget.

Our extensive workshop facilities are always on hand for service and repairs, and to professionally fit the latest parts and components available. Our mechanics also play a vital role in the quality of the finished product that you purchase. Their love of bicycles shows in the pride they take in assembling and servicing your bike – and not just the ones that we sell. So whether it’s a minor tune-up or a major overhaul, you can count on us to do the job right. Mountain High will make sure every customer’s bike, from an entry-level city bike to a top of the range full suspension mountain bike or custom build, rides to its true potential. All our staff, with their high levels of technical competence and specialist advice, can extract that extra bit of performance or comfort that will make all the difference. We can talk to you at your level, whether you're just getting into cycling or are a hardened fanatic, we have the knowledge and enthusiasm to add all the difference to your MH experience.

With a showroom spread over two large floors and extending to nearly 3,000 sq/ft, we have an unbelievable range of bikes, clothing and equipment on display at all times. However, we are always happy to order bikes or parts in for you if you are unable to find what you need.

We have also been organising and leading our shop rides for over 12 years, so there isn’t a single bit of local trail or route that we don’t know about. Our shop rides are open to all local riders, so please check out our “Events” page for more details. Throughout the year, we also organise various weekend away trips to mountain bike Mecca areas such as The Lakes, Peaks, Exmoor, Wales and Scotland.
